Reported to the CEO to develop and manage the marketing department to include product development, brand management, sales support, and marketing plans. Created and implemented strategic marketing initiatives to include a rebranding of World Harbors as well as the development of a new BBQ sauce brand and launched to the shelves of 85% of national supermarkets and retailers. Streamlined the development and launch of a national advertising campaign for new BBQ product line to include website design, cable tv commercial, national events, print advertising, and public relations campaigns. Supported internal sales and food broker network with key messaging and marketing vehicles to include consumer trade marketing materials, retail presentations, event exhibits, and email / direct mail marketing as well as developing and distributing trade and consumer advertising. Developed the company’s first consumer and trade PR program for national media attention through widely visible, national outlets such as Grocery Headquarters, Women’s Day, Family Circle, New York Daily News, and Yahoo.com to name a few. • New BBQ sauce product line was accepted in 85% of U.S. supermarket chains, including Target and Walmart within a 6-month product launch timeframe earning 7 figure annual sales levels. The product marketing plan and concept for brand identity helped raise $5M in capital funding to launch nationwide
• Increased e-commerce product sales by tenfold through the development of digital marketing strategies
