By collaborating closely with the product manager and CEO to define a product roadmap, I developed a strong acumen for estimating project scope and efforts. I promoted design decisions grounded in user research, known metrics, and business goals— and translated these to team members to see success in our work. Alongside my team responsibilities, I led discovery and the design process all the way to delivery on impactful initiatives that increase user engagement and conversion. As the priorities of the business and team shifted, I collaborated in translating these needs to new processes and ways of working. I championed research and oversaw both qualitative and quantitative research projects. The product design team matured their user centered design practices and continually advocated for Chatterbug users.

Jan. 2020 - May. 2021Berlin, GermanyAs the first UX hire, I led highly impactful projects in the mission to expand our presence in the DACH region. I redesigned parts of the aging web interface and created a UI Library in figma that would become the foundation of a design system in react. By collaborating with other designers and leaders to come up with interesting ideas and concepts, we elevated the learning experience for thousands of language learners. My main responsibilities included leading projects from conception to delivery, in charge of creating wireframes, prototypes, production ready animations, interface specifications and collaborating with all disciplines in the company to get feedback and improve designs. During this time, the company shifted focus to building a new live-streaming language learning mobile application that I had a major role in delivering product features on demanding timelines.
