I currently have over 39 years of work experience and 24 years of welding engineering and inspection experience, and I am self-employed. For the first 13 years of experience, I was responsible for quality team and field, chemical, physical and metallurgical laboratories, and incoming materials, with depth knowledge in welding and foundry, dimensional control of finished and semi-finished parts, induction furnaces, forging, heat treatment of ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, and development of new steel alloys. Deep knowledge in NDT methods like UT,MT,PT, Eddy Current and VT. Extensive experience in monitoring the manufacturing of bridges, equipment for the oil and gas industry platforms, pipes, valves, ships and platforms for oil prospection and transport, the rail industry and passenger transport, equipment for the food industry, minerals processing, steel makers and manufacture of boilers and pressure vessels. Quality control of mechanical parts and assembling of mill rolls, gearboxes, milling machines, and big transportation systems. Responsible for specification of materials, manufacturing processes and welding processes and procedures, and requirements related to mechanical testing and non-destructive testing based on international standards. Certified as Penetrant Test Inspector level II by SNT TC 1A. Certified as Welding Inspector Level 2 SNQC / FBTS (Brazilian Scheme), endorsement in AWS D 1.1, and ASME VIII div. 2 standards, under number IS1556N2. Deep knowledge in standards and codes like B31.x,API 650, API 1104, API 5L, DNV, ASME VIII div. 1,2 and 3 and ASME IX, ISO EN 15614. Develop of heat treating process and procedures, mechanical destructive tests evaluation and assessment, hardness testing. Metallographic structure evaluation of steel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, copper alloys and others non-ferrous alloys, forged, casting and heat treated alloys by case-hardening, normalization, annealing, quenching and tempering, and thermochemical heat treating processes. Perform NDT tests: visual test, penetrating test and ultrasonic testing on floor space.
