- Provides outreach and communications support to USAID/Eastern and Southern Caribbean (ESC);
- Serves as the primary point of contact for media and public information requests regarding ESC's programming;
- Collaborates closely with Regional Embassy Public Affairs Offices (PAO) to ensure embassy personnel are properly apprised of USAID public activities and projects and serves as principal liaison with the PAOs and USAID/LPA in coordination with LAC. - Maintains responsibility for high-level communications contacts in the countries under the ESC area of responsibility;
- Advises on, and is responsible for reviewing, project marking and branding to ensure adherence to Agency policies;
- Supports the Mission in the achievement of objectives, by producing and disseminating public information about Mission programs/projects/activities and educating and promoting a better understanding of USAID programs;
- In conjunction with technical sector teams, is responsible for collecting, investigating, managing, and distributing information associated with USAID foreign assistance activities managed by USAID/ESC, and serves as a primary Mission point of contact and liaison for information requests;
- Is responsible for activities that are complex and multi-sectoral, involving forming strong relationships with governmental and non-governmental development professionals, media representatives, international donors, private sector entities, Washington- level technical staff, and interagency partners, with the end goal of communicating to a wide range of audiences about USAID programs.
