We have more than 700 people and a highly valued network of 3500 volunteers. As Area Manager for Central Queensland I provide strategic leadership to 4 District Coordinators (Direct Reports) who oversee around 75 School Chaplains and approximately 400 volunteers. In this role I also provide significant field leadership and oversight for all SU Qld’s services and programs which include chaplaincy services, local chaplaincy committees, Youth At-Risk Programs, Holiday Camps and partner relationships within the Area. Financial oversight is another significant aspect my role which includes constructing budgets, monitoring and management of both government grants and community fundraising and donations. At an organisational level, as Area Manager, I am part of the Senior Leadership Group who work together to provide overall strategic direction and priorities for the organisation as well as monitor and make improvements to internal departmental communications. I have also been privileged to be part of the Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Advisory Group and take part in contributing to the re-writing of SU QLD's RAP.
