Works directly with Senior Program Manager to develop a program communications plan and deliver various tools, channels and messages that promote engagement and outreach of the Abundant Intelligences community and partners.
The role covers a broad set of responsibilities requiring expertise in research communications,
storytelling, knowledge mobilization, Indigenous Knowledges and methodologies, a working knowledge of web-based communication best practices, social media, and digital marketing, as well as communications design, development, and execution. Duties include designing and implementing a communications strategy, knowledge mobilization and providing guidance for a variety of communications materials, for a research program that centers Indigenous Knowledges and methodologies. Abundant Intelligences (AbInt) is an ambitious, large-scale, six-year research program exploring
how to expand and transform Artificial Intelligence through Indigenous Knowledge Systems. It is conducted by an international research team, co-directed by Prof. Jason Edward Lewis at the Indigenous
Futures Research Centre at Concordia University, Montreal, and Prof. Hemi Whaanga at Massey
University in New Zealand. The research team currently consists of 48+ co-investigators and
collaborators at 13 universities/research institutes and 8 community-based organizations in
Canada, the United States, and New Zealand.
