Work with parents, families and our own multi-disciplinary team towards the selection of appropriate devices, software, techniques or strategies to support communication, access to the curriculum, play and leisure. 2. Assist in identification of Assistive Technology devices and services to allow students with complex disabilities to access and benefit from their program of education 3. Work as part of a trans-disciplinary team, which includes OT, SLT, teachers, and TAP 17 in total 4. Assess and make recommendations regarding the selection, modification and implementation of AT devices and services to allow students to access and benefit from education. 5. Responsible for the full life cycle for equipment – reasons for purchase through to end of life 6. Advise local therapists and make recommendation regarding the purchase, repair and replacement of AT devices. 7. Advice on bespoke adaptions to main stream technology 8. Manage and maintain an inventory of loan and assessment devices and ensure devices are available for assessments and loans 9. Attend training sessions, conferences, seminars, and feedback to members of the team via team meetings 10. Keep abreast of changing developments, trends, instructional and educational technologies. 11. Offer advice and support around assistive technology. 12. Delivers assistive technology training alongside specialist transdisciplinary team 13. Evaluating eyegaze and communication software 14. Analyse causes of constant device failures and feedback on findings and recommendations 15. Writing and developing Processes and policies 16. Bespoke set up and adapting main stream technology to support service users
