Aug. 2012 - Aug. 2015SingaporeWith the help of 2 direct reports and many other external vendors, I led and oversaw various types of projects in APAC( free standing boutiques, concession, pop ups, temporary, travel retail, events etc) and providing store design and visual merchandising leadership according to key stakeholders’ expectations. Additionally, I was responsible for CAPEX planning and tracking to ensure budgetary spending was within corporate guidelines. I was also the designated “champion” for local relevancy topics in all store design efforts and provided local suggestions and solutions for all store design efforts. To foster relationships across APAC and NYC offices and with external partners, I provided regional solutions for all facility management needs with external partners’ help, applying for corrective and preventive maintenance works. My leadership and problem-solving skills enabled me to develop commercially viable design implementations for the company. Noteworthy Career Highlights in this role include • Successfully completed nearly 200 doors in APAC, including free-standing stores, flagship locations, counters, partner stores, retrofit works, and temporary stores.
• Participated in the prototyping and pilot testing of new global approved design formats in APAC, including the first aspirational format concept (D cube FSS, KR, followed by Tuen Muen Town Plaza FSS) for MAC in APAC, the first youth FSS in China, Beijing APM joy city, and the first fashion FSS in China Xi An and Thailand, EM Quartier.
• Successfully negotiated bulk pricing from Chinese shopfitters and exported millwork furniture and equipment to the Oceania region and Hong Kong, achieving a cost saving of nearly 0.5 million USD in the first half of the current fiscal year in collaboration with the procurement team.
• Worked closely with the indirect procurement team in 2013 to train and introduce two new shopfitters to serve affiliates’ needs in the Philippines and Taiwan, respectively.
