• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions
• Prepares and maintains accurate records and reports of payroll transactions
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll practices
• Manages payroll functions such as payroll preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes
• Balances the payroll accounts by resolving payroll discrepancies
• Provides payroll information to employees by answering questions and requests
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential
• Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, Worker’s Compensation, etc.
• Maintains professional payroll knowledge
