Sep. 2023 - Apr. 2024At Wingecarribee Shire Council, I was responsible for overseeing a variety of community development projects that involved a wide range of stakeholders and focus areas. I was able to work closely with local social enterprises and I also worked closely with the waste and environmental sustainability team.

Oct. 2022 - Jun. 2023My role at Greenshoot Consulting blended research acumen, design thinking expertise, strategic planning, and sophisticated stakeholder engagement practices to help organisations and projects achieve success. A primary focus was placed on the importance of consulting with First Peoples and how these relationships can inform design and future project work. I had the opportunity to work alongside First Peoples community on Barapa Barapa Wamba Wemba Country, Barengi Gadjin Country and Wurundjeri Country. During the consultation process, I was responsible for initiating GIS software and being the liaison between renewable energy providers and communnity.

We were exploring and culturally mapping invasive species in Australia as well as diving into plant politics. Working with an Indigenous community in the Northern Territory, we conducted fieldwork on biosecurity risks associated with new investments in the area. As her research assistant, I assisted her with a multitude of tasks from research, ethics applications, fieldwork, GIS mapping, outreach documents for participants, literature reviews and more. Mar. 2019 - Oct. 2022Wollongong, AustraliaIn 2022, I decided to close my yoga studio, however, I still continue to teach yoga, qigong & meditation across the Illawarra. I also manage the online Orient & Occident shop. The aim of the studio was to create the HOUSE OF REST. A place where individuals can go and take the space to unwind without overwhelming their nervous systems even further. A focus on nourishing and restorative practices for people to come back to themselves. I completed my YTT at the beginning of 2019 with Exhale Yoga Retreats. I was taught by Mathieu Boldron, Annie Au and Dr Ganesh and we explored the depths of the physical yoga practice, yoga philosophy, anatomy and the fundamentals of Yinyasa (combination of yin and vinyasa). Since completing my training, I have taught over 100 hours of yoga and extended my teaching skills further with a 25 hour training with Sian Pascale of the Light Collective. I have also completed a 50 hour Embodied Yin training in 2020. During my time as a yoga teacher, I have hosted a range of yoga events (women circle's) and I have taught privates in nursing homes and people with Parkinson's disease.

We are active and facilitative across the three local government areas of Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama. RDA Illawarra is part of a national network of 55 RDA’s, largely funded by the Australian Government through the Department of Infrastructure, Regional Development and Cities. During my time at RDA Illawarra, I was responsible for writing government submissions and grants for projects throughout the region and I was also involved in high-level meetings discussing business opportunities in the area. Many of my roles as a PR specialist included managing social media, drafting and distributing media releases, media liaison, event management, developing creative strategies, website development, research and designing and distributing eDMs.

Furthermore, my role at Edelman was within the corporate and crisis communications teams, which in turn enhanced my creative and analytical skills as many of my responsibilities involved research and strategy. During my time at Edelman, I created strong bonds with clients, journalists and work colleagues. The clients I was tasked in managing had high-profile campaigns across a broad range of scope including environmental and CSR objectives, consumer research and corporate and crisis communications. Key achievements: • Successfully supported the implementation of Samsung’s Corporate Social Responsibility Program – which saw Samsung providing virtual reality and other innovative technology throughout schools across Australia to assist with learning and STEM • Lead consultant for the successful Samsung CSR initiative which brought virtual reality to Uniting Nursing Homes across the region to help dementia patients, staff and health professionals understand the limitations of the disease and experience events of their pasts that brought them happiness • Assisted in the in-depth analysis and research of the environmental landscape in Australia for Unilever. I played in integral role in the research and determined the key environmental issues in Australia that could impact corporations, individuals and society • Working alongside colleagues in fintech services and implemented key research reports for PayPal

Health Haus allowed me to work in a cohesive environment embracing all areas of PR including creative, strategy, digital and regular PR campaigns. Due to the nature of the organisation and the small teams, I had extensive responsibilities and managed high-profile clients as I was one of the key contacts. Key achievements: • Supported the launch of Australia’s National Return of Unwanted Medicine Campaign. I played an integral role in launching the program in Australia and making consumers aware of the environmental damage of unwanted and incorrectly disposed of medication • Lead consultant for Bicycle NSW’s Spring Cycle event in Sydney.
