Feb. 2005 - Jun. 2010Worked in QA from '05-'06 and in Technical Art for most of '06. At the request of the COO, built the company’s Community Department, and acted as its manager. My team was tasked as the direct line to Harmonix’s fans for messaging, as well as event management and customer service. We had an active
registered community of 1 million registered users and interacted with them hourly via forums, podcasts, Facebook, Twitter, e-mail, and live events.
• Created and spearheaded an industry-standard-setting department that encompassed both Community and PR
• Managed a team of 12 Community and PR employees
• Established a community forum that had over a million registered users at its peak
• Showcased titles in the Karaoke Revolution, Guitar Hero, Dance Central, and Rock Band franchises for press, critics, and consumers from around the world
• Frequent spokesperson for Rock Band online, in print, and on television
• With initial years spent in Quality Assurance and Technical Art – liaising between multiple departments – gained a comprehensive understanding of AAA production pipelines
