Managing the LMS
Research and code for effective automation Job Duties: LMS Admin, Developer, QA, and Instructional Developer. Began part-time but escalated to working over 30 hours per week between these four roles. LMS Admin: LearnUpon researched features, batch upload users, created users, enrolled users, created and maintained courses, configured the system. Created quizzes and question pools. Configured quizzes and added custom certification. Instructional Developer: Created courses based on needs of clients based on verbal and frequent communication with Vice President. Maintained and continuously edited lesson document maps and output for use in the LMS. Applied company branding and standards to courses. Created reviews and quizzes. Designed courses using DITA/XML. Developer: Since the XSL scenarios were custom, solved the transformation to SCORM compliant HTML5 output. Continuously found solutions to apply DITA OT styles to the code. For example, the prereq tag was not working, but using the same tag, edited the XSL to generate on HTML output. Some similar work required coding to allow existing tags to transform to SCORM compliant learning such as: <results>, <note>, <action_label>, etc. QA: All courses were tested manually locally, then within the LMS. Some courses were almost 60 slides long and each link, image, and such were tested prior to releasing/publishing the course to enrollees. Graphic design: Edited images for placement in the SCORM compliant learning. Created images for categories in the learning. Some edits to buttons.
