Jun. 2014PhilippinesAs the General Manager N-PAX specializing in HR end-to-end automation solutions, I am responsible for leading the company’s operations across several key areas: Marketing, Sales & Business Development Management, Software Development Management, Software QA Testing Management, Business Process & Functional Consultancy Management, Project Deployment Management, Customer Experience & Support Management, and Administration Management.
My position requires a strategic leader capable of driving growth, ensuring product excellence, and fostering a customer-centric culture. You will oversee all aspects of the software lifecycle, from product development to client support, ensuring the company remains competitive and aligned with market demands.
My role also involves setting long-term goals, managing cross-functional teams, ensuring operational efficiency, and driving innovation in HR software products such as timekeeping & payroll automation, talent management systems, and employee self-service & workflow automation, and data analytics systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing, Sales & Business Development Management
Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that positions the company’s HR automation solutions as market leaders.
- Lead the sales team to achieve revenue goals through targeted sales strategies, pipeline management, and client acquisition.
- Drive business development by identifying new market opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding market share.
- Oversee the execution of lead generation campaigns and brand awareness initiatives.
- Ensure close collaboration between marketing, sales, and product development teams to align go-to-market strategies with product innovations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales growth, market penetration, and client retention, adjusting strategies as needed.
2. Software Development Management
- Lead the software development team in designing and developing innovative HR automation solutions such as payroll, recruitment, and performance management systems.
- Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from gathering requirements to release, ensuring products are delivered on time and within scope.
- Foster a collaborative environment, promoting Agile, DevOps, and other best practices to enhance productivity and innovation.
- Ensure alignment between the product development roadmap and market demands, continuously refining and improving the product offering.
- Manage resource allocation and timelines to meet project deadlines, while ensuring adherence to coding standards, quality benchmarks, and performance metrics.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that the company’s solutions remain competitive and innovative.
3. Software QA Testing Management
- Lead the quality assurance (QA) team to ensure all software products meet the highest standards of reliability, functionality, and performance before release.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive testing strategy that includes automated testing frameworks, manual testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure timely detection and resolution of software defects by implementing robust bug tracking and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with the software development team to integrate testing throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring that quality is embedded from the start.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging feedback and process optimization to ensure high-quality product releases.
4. Business Process & Functional Consultancy Management
- Lead efforts to understand client HR processes and translate these into technical requirements that guide software development.
- Work closely with functional consultants and business analysts to ensure that the company’s software solutions align with client workflows and business needs.
- Optimize internal business processes to ensure that software development and deployment are efficient, scalable, and aligned with the company’s operational goals.
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for both internal processes and client-facing solutions.
- Ensure close collaboration between business and technical teams to guarantee that software solutions meet both functional and technical requirements.
5. Project Deployment Management
- Oversee the successful deployment of HR automation solutions, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client expectations.
- Work with project managers to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring resources are allocated effectively.
- Monitor project progress and manage risks, addressing potential delays or roadblocks before they impact delivery.
- Ensure post-deployment support is in place to handle any issues that arise after the software goes live, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Implement standardized project management methodologies to ensure consistent and successful project outcomes.
6. Customer Experience & Support Management
- Lead the customer support and experience teams to ensure clients receive prompt, high-quality support throughout their engagement with the company.
- Develop and implement a customer success strategy that maximizes the value clients derive from the company’s HR automation solutions.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics (e.g., NPS, CSAT) and act on feedback to continuously improve both the product and the support experience.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer support tickets, maintaining strong communication and transparency with clients.
- Foster long-term relationships with key clients, identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive additional revenue and enhance client satisfaction.
7. Administration Management
- Oversee the company’s administrative functions, ensuring smooth internal operations across HR, finance, legal, and compliance departments.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage the company’s budgeting and financial planning processes, ensuring fiscal responsibility and profitability.
- Ensure that the company’s policies and procedures are well-documented, up-to-date, and compliant with industry regulations.
- Lead efforts to maintain a strong company culture, focusing on employee engagement, retention, and professional development.
- Ensure that operational processes are optimized to support the company’s growth and strategic objectives.
