Hi there. My name is Stacey Purpura, and I have 25 years of design experience in all facets of design. I have created website and animated banner storyboards (using Photoshop Layer Comps), marketing pitch powerpoint presentations, multiple-story banners and column wraps for conventions, product packaging, and completed photo retouching and logo recreation from scratch. Print and social media design are some of my strengths. Some of the clients I’ve worked with are Sidley Austin, LLC, VCA, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Alcon contacts, Hilton Hotels, Calvin Klein fragrances, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co., Campbell’s Soup and Heinz Ketchup. Specifically, I was involved in the new branding launch of Alcon contacts and Novartis Pharmaceuticals, and the main artist in my department to handle Hilton hotels in-room collateral (which included their menu door-hangers and in-room menus). I’ve worked on just about every industry, but the ones that stand out are furniture and flooring, marketing and promos, jewelry, pharma, legal, and food and hospitality. So, you could say over the last 25 years, I’ve done a little of everything for a little of everyone! After 20 years of a regular 9-5, I decided to branch out and start my own firm to enjoy a more flexible work/home life, and to explore and learn different genres. So, I'm looking to establish an ongoing relationship with a few clients and really make them shine! The past 5 years “on my own” have been amazing--but now I’m ready to add new experiences and clients!

I was selected to travel to the NY branch of the firm to train with the NY team, and then trained supervisors and staff to expand the service line. I went on to win a company-wide Exceptionals Award for my dedication.

May. 2009 - Feb. 2013As a Legal Proofreader for Williams Lea, I proofed complex legal documents on tight deadlines for a worldwide legal firm. I also am extremely adept at legal transcriptions, and I have also been trained in document processing and am familiar with the Citrix platform. I was also the go-to on our team when graphics projects came in from the Marketing Department from the firm.

Jun. 2007 - Feb. 2009As the Graphic Designer for Mail America, I worked on tight deadlines with clients across the country and Canada from everything from catalogs to gift cards. The types of genres I worked with included sporting goods stores, flooring, furniture, electronics, jewelry, music, car dealers, appliances, and more. I was also responsible for a large branding and re-imaging project for Mail America's largest client, who oversees hundreds of furniture, appliance, electronic, and mattress dealers across the U.S. Some of my recurring clientele included Play It Again Sports, Flooring America chain stores, and Mohawk Flooring.

Oct. 2006 - Jun. 2007As the sole graphic designer for this direct mail and marketing company, I was responsible for designing and preparing files for print (both digitally and offset), as well as preflighting files that are client submitted. I have done brochures, business cards, menus, pocket folders, postcards, package letters, e-mail blasts, and more. Some of my clients were Wheeling Jesuit University, Washington & Jefferson College, California University of Pittsburgh, Goodwill Industries of Pittsburgh, The Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston, First Choice America Federal Community Credit Union, and WesBanco.

Jul. 2006 - Oct. 2006For Cavanaugh Marketing Network, I recreated and created logos, did webpage layout, brochures, business cards, envelopes, and other design work, including pen, t-shirt, and other promotional product design, working with the print vendors. A main part of my job was to create and carry through point-of-purchase design and package design. Clients that I dealt with were Bubba Gump, Eat 'n Park, Ben Wallace, Heinz, Cambells, and Salty Dog Tags.

Jun. 2005 - Feb. 2006As a Desktop Artist at ADVO, I worked with the Creative Artists to make changes to and upkeep ads. Part of my specific job duties included being an assigned artist for ADVO's largest client Direc4U, as well as two other top clients, Pizza Pan, and Papa John's.

Herald-Star / The Weirton Daily TimesGraphic Artist

Aug. 2003 - Jun. 2005As the only Graphic Artist for this newspaper, I was responsible for designing special section covers, any ROP special headings, or special or large ads. I also did several covers for area special interest magazines as part of my work there. I worked hand in hand with the Advertising Reps, Advertising Management, Composing Management, and Editorial Management to produce the most desired end result as possible. I supplied work for not only the Steubenville Herald-Star, but The Weirton Daily Times, the PA Focus, the Brooke Scene, the Toronto Scene, Supersavers, Showcase of Homes, and many other small publications in the area. I helped bring the Herald-Star to win the Ogden Holiday Greetings contest in 2003, and come in 2nd in 2004, in which we competed with all Odgen newspapers to sell, design, and produce the most greetings.
