Jun. 2012 - Jun. 2013Staines, UKFormed part of the Portfolio Management Team of 6 Portfolio Managers under the Head of Portfolios and PMO, to establish the capability- and increase the maturity- of Portfolio Management across British Gas. In terms of governance, in-year Change Plan performance and 3 year planning, I managed a portfolio of up to 45 programmes and projects covering British Gas Business, British Gas Metering, and British Gas Energy and worked closely with the Head of Change, Business Systems Managers, Business Solutions and Architectural teams, Programme/Project Managers and PMOs for each area within the portfolio to ensure corrective governance, assurance, and control, as well as investment demand and horizon planning for 2013 and the 3 year forward planning. Current in year activities covered the management of the 2012 in-year Change Plan and the governance/processing of funding for projects. As portfolio manager, my duty was to ensure the corporate Operating Model for IS was adhered to across the organisation framework, in terms of the following Portfolio Management processes and in alignment with Strategic priorities:
