Nov. 2013 - Jun. 2014St. Louis, MO- Able to work independently and manage a particular business or category under the supervision of the Senior Line Builder, Product director, or Division Director. - Design all aspects of product line including footwear uppers, outsoles, and accessory components - May manage a team of assistant line builders and/or designers to support the development of a product line. - Independently researches and shops as required. - Has the skill set to identify key trends in footwear, apparel, and other related areas. - Is comfortable with selecting product styles, and comprehends construction processes, detail and construction techniques, industry footwear standards, and pricing strategies. - Able to identify problems, research action plans and achieve sound solutions. - Proposes product strategy to supervisor and sales team. - Creates necessary marketing tools and customer specific programs for presenting and selling the product line. - Design Women's Branded and Private Label footwear - Industry Trade Shows and domestic travel for trend forecasting and market analysis - May travel to support the position: domestically or internationally for market research, China for execution of product development and manufacturing techniques - Help manage social media outlets Vogue Footwear - Review daily communications for pertinent development information. Communicate with overseas teams in order to provide direction for specific design requirements. - Utilize applications used in shoe designing, such as Photoshop®, Illustrator®, or Rhino® - Conceptualize / seek outside-of-the-box marketing and promotional opportunities
