Oct. 2016 - Mar. 2017Cape Town Area, South AfricaI returned to my core strength of being a Business Analyst with this short term contract with Business Connexion. I worked simultaneously on two projects: 1. For a Consumer Products manufacturing company I documented the Procure-to-Pay processes and wrote Standard Operating Procedures referenced to by the Group Procurement Policy. To do this I had to facilitate workshops and have several on-on-one meetings with key people with the relevant knowledge. I also had to consult with the SAP Business Analyst to add the SAP transaction codes, control reports and data warehouse (SAP BW) information to the procedures. 2. For the Provincial Government of the Western Cape I wrote a Business Requirements Specification (BRS) for a Business Intelligence requirement for the Department of Economic Development and Tourism (DEDAT). To do this I had to identify and engage on-on-one with the key stakeholders to determine what the Outcomes are that the DEDAT initiatives are driving towards and what the existing Data Sources are. I also facilitated a workshop to develop a Conceptual Data Model and had more meeting to elicit the Information Requirements (dashboards, graphs, reports) that each DEDAT initiative would need and documented this in the BRS.
