Mar. 2014 - May. 2015BulgariaAs an in-house legal counsel, my role encompassed a wide range of responsibilities and duties related to providing legal advice and support to both the managers and employees of Unity Schools, including: Providing timely and accurate legal advice on a variety of legal matters, including contract law, employment law, corporate law, intellectual property law, regulatory compliance, and other legal issues relevant to the organization's operations. Reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to ensure they are legally sound, protecting the organization's interests, and minimizing risk. Advising on corporate governance matters, such as board meetings, corporate policies, and compliance with corporate laws and regulation. Identifying and managing legal risks faced by the organization, and developing strategies to minimize and mitigate potential legal risks. Managing and resolving legal disputes, including litigation and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms such as arbitration and mediation. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and developing and implementing compliance programs to prevent and detect violations. Advising on intellectual property matters, such as trademark registration, copyright protection, and intellectual property infringement issues. Providing guidance on employment law matters, including employee contracts, terminations, discrimination, and workplace policies. Advising on regulatory matters, including compliance with industry-specific regulations, licensing requirements, and government investigations. Providing training and education to employees on legal issues, policies, and best practices to promote legal awareness and compliance within the organization.
