ŠEIMOS KREDITO UNIJA (en.: FAMILY Credit Union/Mutual Bank, - www.unija.lt; #top16LTfin) is EU based Customer-Owned Bank - an accredited financial institution, which collects deposits (portfolio is 60M+ EUR (53M+ EUR long term assets; turnover in 2023 was more than HALF BILLION EUR), which is insured by the State with amounts up to 100 000 EUR) and provides full-scale loans (up to 2M EUR; and syndicated loans up to 10M EUR), public financial instruments, and general banking services (incl. credit/debit cards, e-banking, plus, other overall functions and licensed financial institution services for individuals and legal persons, according to the Law on Credit Unions (No I-796, 21 February 1995, LT). According to "Verslo Žinios" ("Business News")- the core Lithuanian business newspaper & Internet portal - ŠEIMOS Credit Union was an absolute national market leader in the growth of credit portfolio in 2018; in 2019 Lithuanian "Business News" published the list of Lithuanian Business Leaders (LVL 500) where ŠEIMOS Credit Union was announced (and nominated) among the best 16 of ALL Lithuanian financial institutions (including all the banks, insurance companies and other). ŠEIMOS Credit Union is a corporate member of the Lithuanian Central Credit Union (the 1st Cooperative bank in CEE; www.lku.lt). In 2014 the Bank of Lithuania (Central Bank of the Republic of Lithuania (part of Eurozone System/ECB)) issued the license for ŠEIMOS Credit Union - it allows providing overall financial and credit management services to both corporate clients and individuals in Vilnius Region (LT, EU).
