Oct. 2003Phoenix, Arizona AreaMichelle leads the development and implementation of strategic marketing and communication strategies including branding, media relations, community relations, relationship marketing, promotions, social media and experiential marketing. Recently, she worked in partnership with the City of Phoenix, The Global Institute of Sustainability at ASU and Arizona Public Service to develop marketing and communication strategies for the winning $25 million Department of Energy Energize Phoenix grant. Michelle manages numerous agency accounts including Discovery Triangle, a multi-jurisdictional economic development effort. Over her nine-year tenure with DRA Strategic Communications, Michelle has created innovative programs to increase public awareness for clients such as the Arizona Department of Commerce, multiple DMB communities, Maracay Homes, Arizona Humane Society, Arizona State University’s SkySong, Sun Health and Urban Land Institute. Prior to joining the agency, she worked on the Lexus Automotive account in Event Marketing and Promotions for Team One Advertising, a division of Saatchi and Saatchi in Los Angeles. She serves as the Marketing Co-Chair for ULI Arizona, a not-for-profit research and education organization and on Valley Leadership's Man & Women of the Year Steering Committee (PR Committee). She is an active volunteer at the Southwest Autism Research & Resource Center and a teen mentor at New Pathways for Youth. Michelle is a member of Valley Leadership’s Leadership Institute Class 33 and was recently recognized by the Phoenix Business Journal as a member of their 40 Under 40 class for 2013. Michelle earned a bachelor’s degree in business and communication from Arizona State University and graduated from the Los Angeles Advertising Agency Association (LAAA) Advertising University.
