My role involves performance optimisation, new product releases, on-going development and support for the Canstar Gold (financial ratings) and Canstar Blue (Consumer review) web properties. In this role I worked with the IT team who provide the backend web development functionality, the tech architect, CTO, the infrastructure team and business execs. Web properties are developed in Wordpress and include use of Javascript, MongoDB, Grunt, GIT Mercurial and PHP.

The first with a large software development team working on a student management system which is used by universities and educational institutions in Australia and a number of other countries around the world. Within the StudentManagment team I worked with the group who was responsible for the development and maintenance of web applications. These web apps provided an interface to various business components in the main application. This role involved programming work with ASP.NET 2.0 and VB.NET 2.0, AJAX.NET and Oracle. I was also heavily involved in address verification and got some experience in web service development. My second role was a software developer in the CRM team. The CRM product was a new offering for TechnologyOne and was designed to be extremely flexible/dynamic. CRM is integrated with the Core Suite of offerings (Financials, Payroll, HR, Business Intelligence, etc...). My role with CRM involved primarily Windows Ci development using the company's ADF framework.
