Tetra4Stakeholder Relationship Manager
Mar. 2024As Stakeholder Relations Manager for Tetra4’s innovative gas project in Virginia, South Africa, I am deeply involved in shaping the success of the country’s first onshore gas operation. My role is multifaceted, encompassing stakeholder engagement, policy development, sustainability initiatives, and overseeing the company’s Social and Labour Plan (SLP). This project’s pioneering nature demands strategic thinking, resilience, and a solutions-driven approach. One of my notable achievements has been initiating a steering committee that unites mining industries, municipalities, and other key stakeholders. This collaborative platform is dedicated to creating legacy projects that benefit the local community, with a strong focus on small, medium, and micro enterprises (MSMEs), youth employment, and sustainable development. This committee serves as a foundation for long-term community upliftment and economic empowerment. Another critical aspect of my role is managing the implementation and reporting of the company’s Social and Labour Plan. Through this, I oversee initiatives designed to improve education, create job opportunities, and encourage entrepreneurship within the local community. These programs are aimed at ensuring the project’s benefits extend beyond its operational lifespan, leaving a lasting positive impact on the region. Sustainability is at the core of my work. From promoting environmental responsibility to fostering economic growth through community-focused initiatives, my contributions align with the project’s long-term vision of balancing business objectives with social and environmental priorities. Working in such a pioneering project requires adaptability, grit, and the ability to lead in areas with little precedent. By successfully managing complex stakeholder relationships and championing sustainable development, I am proud to contribute to the success and legacy of the Tetra4 Gas Project, a milestone in South Africa’s energy landscape.
