Each is charting its unique path, but after advising, starting, and working with hundreds of startups we can help founders navigate the journey based on sound strategies. We collaborate closely with each of our founding teams to ensure real results. Let's connect and explore how we can help.

FormosDirector of Business Development
Nov. 2020Vancouver, Washington, United States · On-siteFormos has been one of the best kept secrets in the Pacific Northwest for years. I have referred clients to them and seen the amazing work they do time and time again. They never fail to deliver exceptional enterprise software in addition to being great people to work with. They truly have something special. On time and On Budget are not things you hear often in Software Development, but Formos lives by it. We work with large enterprises to develop extremely complex software that runs their business. We work with Startups to help them build critical MVP’s to help them get next stage funding. We work with scything in-between across multiple sectors like construction, education, healthcare and more. And we have done all of this for 18 years. In fact our first client is still with us today and we continue to support, iterate and grow their technology. That says a lot. We are at a pivotal point in software and society. The complexity of the applications and systems that run behind the scenes of our lives are more critical than ever, they need to access more data, embrace new views and build deeper integrations. Formos can help lead through this complex jungle of technology and produce direct value back into your business. If you are building any technology anywhere from startup to multinational enterprises we should talk!

GroundSwell SPCChief Marketing Officer and Co-Creator
Oct. 2019 - Dec. 2020Washougal, Washington, United StatesGroundSwell has the promise to transform the way we think about our money and the way we support the causes we believe in. Passionate organizations that support and address the most pressing issues of our time need unprecedented support. GroundSwell transforms profits of the capitalism-driven financial sector into a catalyst for change. This rethinking of social impact and the financial industry parts is revolutionary. It is a disruption of the status quo and a benefit to all. I work as part of the exciting founding team to create messaging and help users understand and adopt, to build systems to organize and disseminate messaging, and to help the startup find its voice. I work heavily on UI and application design, support business strategy, build marketing technology, teams and capabilities and so many of the “grab an oar” challenges of a startup. It’s exciting and exhausting work. And feels amazing to be in the hunt of building an exceptional success.

The Bridge IncubatorFounder
Sep. 2014 - Nov. 2017Vancouver, WaWe used to view Startups as simply early stage companies. That is no longer the view. Steve Blank, the author of The Startup Owners Manual, defines a Startup as an organization formed to search for a repeatable and scalable business model. This new perspective creates a fundamental shift in how we need to teach, train and enable these fledgling businesses. The Bridge is a comprehensive resource for Startup founders and Startup companies in Vancouver Washington. We are increasing access to relevant learning by staging local events and programs. Our extensive mentor network is designed to help bring together the top entrepreneurial talent to mentor and guide our members. Our members have access to capital through strong angel and investor relationships and programs.
President / Business Development, Product Marketing and Trend Advisor
The Startup BrandPresident / Business Development, Product Marketing and Trend Advisor
Mar. 2014 - Jan. 2023Portland, Oregon AreaThe Startup Brand is designed to infuse the energy of a startup into your company. Innovation is moving too fast to sit on the sidelines of your business and try to jump on the next trend you read in Wired magazine. By then it's too late. Companies today need to embrace innovation and an aggressive plan to reach for higher rungs on the ladder of growth. Products development is moving at a lightning pace. There is no simple answer about how you aim ahead of emerging trends. But there is a way to embrace and plan for the speed your organization needs to stay in the hunt or even lead. We work with our clients to asses exactly where they are and what is at the forefront of trends that can impact their industry. Then we map out a plan. We start with wide open options in the beginning so as not to miss the best solution. We explore brand, products, marketing, partnerships, potential acquisitions and more to develop the best strategy for your future goals. It’s not the easy way to do things, just the right way.

Remedy Design GroupCreative Director
Jan. 2005 - Mar. 2015Portland, Oregon AreaAs a freelance Creative Director and Designer for nearly a decade in Portland, I have made great, talented connections with writers, designers, videographers and photographers, and programmers. At Remedy Design, I work independently to remain lean and cost-effective and then pull my great connections and friends together for larger projects when necessary. There is nothing I love more than rolling up my sleeves and digging into a big, fat, hairy marketing challenge and developing a great campaign that excites people about my client's projects. These clients range from; Stanford University, Nike, Adidas, Round Table Pizza, ESPN, Microsoft, Intel, Gerber Legendary Blades and many more.

My Shopping CommunityCo-Founder/Creative Director
Aug. 2002 - Mar. 2005Vancouver, WaOur goal at My Shopping Community was to reinvent the way the youthful internet was being used. We worked with Direct Selling companies and developed new business models to help its distributors sell, engage and connect with their customers and associates. The larger vision drove us to create custom technology the host online meetings, aggregate their ordering process and deliver compelling marketing for a monthly service fee. SaaS wasn’t really a thing when we got going, but we saw the vision early and built a small community of less than 50 to supporting multiple communities and thousands of subscribers.
Digital Asset Manager
Adidas InternationalDigital Asset Manager
Nov. 2000 - Mar. 2002Portland, Oregon AreaThe digital assets of adidas International number in the 100s of thousands. My primary project was to architect and design local archival and asset management solutions for our local workgroup and then scale that learning to develop a worldwide solution. During my time at adidas, I was also charged to develop the online component of an automated catalog construction project. Printed product line catalogs are massive efforts within any company because they touch so many different departments and areas of a company and generally do so very early in the development and production process while much of the information is still fluid. I developed the specification, worked with the apparel designers, merchandisers, line managers and internal programming team to scope and gather the specifications that allowed us to take core production data and build it into marketing construct we could deliver to our design partners saving 1000s of hours of meetings, communications, investigation, writing, and editing. This application became a critical link in the sales and forecasting process as well as saving adidas substantial cost associated with producing the catalog every year since.

Junior Designer
Elvis & Bonaparte AdvertisingJunior Designer
Oct. 1995 - Nov. 1997Portland, Oregon AreaElvis and Bonaparte was a thriving agency pushing out amazing creative work. The founders had the great ability to turn heads and get people to notice their work. My time there was spent in thousands of hours pushing the limits of Photoshop, Illustrator and Quark Xpress. Many of our design concepts required massive image manipulation and compositions only being done by a few groundbreaking agencies of the time. I was the first employee of this agency that grew to over 30 and had millions of dollars in billings. I helped design and produce ads, collateral, and animations for clients like Lightware, OPB, Rentrak, Intel, Web Chaperone, Now Software and yes even the first web pages of Enron (we would later grow to resent that client)
