As the Transition Head of Department, I was chiefly responsible for leading and managing an organisational restructuring, providing assistance with all facets of the merger of the two Australian territories of The Salvation Army. Notable Achievements • Progressed to the position of a departmental head for my industry and domain expertise after the merger of the two Australian territories of The Salvation Army. • Reviewed, designed and established the National Department, combining 14 separate Frontline Mission Support teams, through the implementation of a centrally managed and geographically dispersed model and a holistic approach to bringing together teams towards mutually beneficial outcomes. • Successfully redesigned the departmental functions whilst planning and managing the capacity and resources required to effectively facilitate the transition and service continuity. • Developed and implemented a strategy concerning Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including the management of the complexity associated with changes to services and service management processes, showcasing cultural sensitivity and strategic planning skills. • Ensured a smooth transition for 140 direct staff across the country whilst recruiting general managers and new staff, utilising advanced change management capabilities, including the application and adoption of change management processes and tools. • Aligned support structures with a new executive design leveraging industry expertise, including revising a frontline mission design. • Acted as a Subject Matter Expert in designing and implementing The Salvation Army’s National Frontline mission support, ensuring all requirements and criteria were met. • Utilised a growth and development approach to managing and mentoring teams for personal and organisational growth.

As a Strategic Change Director, I was responsible for leading and delivering change initiatives to facilitate organisational transformation for the Eastern Territory, which was one of two administrative territories of The Salvation Army Australia. Notable Achievements • Significantly improved organisation-wide access to information and enhanced operational efficiency through the delivery of an infrastructure upgrade – implementing an integrated intranet for 16 different sites, increasing stakeholder engagement from five per cent to a benchmark level of 75 per cent. • Streamlined processes and enabled information sharing for all key departments, standardising and simplifying departmental procedures and profiles, contact guides and centralised tools. • Led the development and implementation of strategic plans and reporting frameworks as a Subject Matter Expert, delivering corporate planning processes and reviews whilst ensuring their alignment with objectives. • Analysed trends and delivered insights to drive programme implementation strategies. • Defined and delivered the national restructuring and transformation strategy as the Principal Subject Matter Expert, conducting interviews, research and metric consolidation. • Utilised industry expertise in providing planning advice, assisting planning activities and influencing decisions in business change initiatives. • Championed and delivered change management with positive outcomes, driving gender equality within the workplace, throughout the organisation and at various levels of employment and client engagement.

As a SURF Program Lead, I was responsible for managing the operations of the SURF Program, leading the transformation of a work immersion programme for the summer camp. Notable Achievements • Oversaw and carried out the operations of camp groups’ schedules and activities in a six-day Wilderness Trek in the Tahoe National Forest, ensuring a safe, healthy and positive camping environment. • Conducted interviews to identify development points as well as delivered workshops and documentation whilst ensuring continuous process improvement for the programme. • Liaised with key staff and programme delegates and supervised them implementing changes, delivering maintenance work, arranging camp facilities and providing food services. • Developed and delivered activities to guide young campers in their personal growth as well as daily living skills through meaningful and collaborative learning experiences whilst improving their leadership skills, civic engagement and academic rigour. • Introduced a life mentoring programme as well as delivering supervisor orientation and a support programme.

Notable Achievements • Consolidated projects under a strategic portfolio whilst providing support for the establishment of the pioneering Strategic Change Unit, including recruiting the director. • Developed processes for organisational change initiatives and provided ongoing monitoring. • Managed and evaluated stakeholders across the organisation whilst developing and implementing stakeholder engagement plans to facilitate communication for groups from the executives to front line leads. • Developed and delivered a framework for the leadership development programme as well as achieving continuous process improvement for ongoing reviews. • Facilitated personal development through a goal-setting framework across six cohorts involving 140 delegates. • Successfully managed change and conducted business analytics to facilitate programme delivery, reducing operating costs by A$13 million, improving frontline delegation empowerment and devolving decision making, resulting in an 80 per cent decrease in committee decision making forums.
