Kiran Kumar is a final-year Biotechnology Bioengineering student at UC San Diego. Kiran is currently working on-contract as a scientific writing consultant at Timeline Nutrition. She built testing programs for the prototype to evaluate all health profiles, with over 30 million possibilities; finally, Kiran presented the system and the test results to the company. She was then requested to assist with the implementation process by the technology team. Kiran is also a member of my University's Speech & Debate Team where she is a top performer and gold-medallist in Senior Division debate. She consistently competes on the intercollegiate circuit and was selected to compete at the IPDA National Tournament in Boise, Idaho. Kiran's technical/scientific background in combination with her talents for communicating make her a stellar scientific writer, and marketing manager for scientific companies.

Have been asked to coordinate system implementation by the technology team.

Jun. 2022 - Oct. 2022I had a really terrific time starting as a scientific writer at insurance and longevity company FOXO Technologies. I had the opportunity to develop longevity-related media including blog posts and social media content. I also had the wonderful opportunity to independently prototype an algorithm-driven system to personalize recommendations to a user. Each individual would have a profile developed from their epigenetic data, underwriting data, and self-report. This profile would be matched against a library of recommendations, which I had developed, and matched to the recommendation profiles. The best recommendation matches for each category were returned to the user. I'm looking forward to continuing with FOXO as a product engineering intern in the fall!
