Aug. 2017 - May. 2023It started with maintaining existing code and UI (Ruby, JS) but later I became head of development for new version of the statistics app which became the main product the Staffino is selling today. I learned a lot about ElasticSearch, its pros and cons, I learned AWS (because I wanted to do things ASAP and not waiting on someone else a week) and later I was able to decrease the monthly costs for AWS by 30% and increase response speed of the service. I migrated the code from Ruby 2.4.8 to 2.5.9 and later to 3+. I also participated on developing new UI version of the app, based on React and TypeScript. Initially it was using GraphQL but later it was abandoned and kind of RPC was used instead. I left because I wanted to try US project.

I left the company, because I was not learning new things anymore and for the programmer in his mid 20s it is not good thing. I wanted more.
