I began the journey in 2009 as a knitwear designer and collaborated with my sister and a yarn-dyer friend on some projects under the name Annie & Co. Then in 2012, I began dyeing yarn myself and changed the name of the brand. My sister and I developed the braided skein method in a bold attempt to stand out in a market where the twisted skein was the norm and still is. The chickadee logo came from my love of birds and from stories my mom told me as a child about a little chickadee named Annie and her woodland friends. The brand retired in 2020 when I decided to re-brand the yarn line, and the braided skeins lived on as Dreamdust Fiber Co.
