A Legacy for the Global Multicultural Adoption and Foster Care Community and Their Families Founded in 2011, established and currently oversees the first & only national and global all volunteer run multicultural non profit community foundation that leverages philanthropy and grassroots fundraising to specifically promote and support more post adoption resources for adoptees and their families. For the first time, the adoptee led foundation will be representative of the international, domestic, and foster care adoption experience. Duties include marketing/PR, fundraising, special events planning, donor management, developing and maintaining strategic partnerships including working with local, state & federal elected officials to raise awareness about the cause -Assisted nonprofit to obtain its federal tax exempt status in record time as well created and managed all of the marketing and PR including logo development, online PR andWeb distribution, coordinate traditional and social media including setting up interviews and land spots on radio, print, TV including producing PSAs for the inaugural Adoptee Night with the SF Giants in July 2012 via working with George Lucas, Michael Reagan, Amy Anderson - Daughter, Aubrey Anderson-Emmons, and Ken McNeely (AT&T President) as well as for the following 9 years of signature Adoptee Night sporting events in partnership with LA Dodgers, MN Twins, & NY Yankees and Mentor Night w/the NBA - LA Lakers Rooted in multiculturalism, Mixed Roots Foundation improves the quality of life by collaborating with individuals, businesses & organizations in the greater community to promote & support organizations, create awareness, and inspire future generations to achieve their dreams & goals through strategic outreach, multimedia, and innovative grant making programs including mentoring, DNA testing and unique scholarships & grants for the global multicultural adoption and foster care community & their families
