Arlette Hernandez began her career working in collections & archives, first at her alma mater, and later at other institutions including Jacksonville, Florida's Museum of Science & History and New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. In these roles, she learned strategies for cataloging objects, transcribing historical documents, and conducting historical research.
About five years ago, she transitioned to working in museum education and content production, taking on a variety of multimedia projects. In this time, she has produced 15 videos, 26 podcasts, and more than 200 interviews. She has also edited a variety of written features, including a monthly webcomic series called Drawn to MoMA, which was published into an edited anthology in April 2025.
