I am a passionate and skilled architect and project manager with substantive experience planning, developing and implementing exceptional architectural designs for all spaces from Laboratories to commercial buildings and residential properties. I am committed to high quality details, clients' satisfaction and a sustainable built environment. I was educated at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, one of the best technology universities in East and Central Africa, which was accredited, at the time, by the Commonwealth Association of Architects. I graduated in 2004 and leapt into the working work with Beglin Woods Architects Ltd as a graduate architect. At University, I discovered her passion for project management, project coordination as well as project finance leading her to eventually get my project management certificate with the Project Management Institute. As my career grew, I was nominated twice (2015 and 2018) as one of the top 40 women under 40 in Kenya for the impact that I have had on the built environment and by my work ethos recognized by clients and contractors. Projects of note under my design and supervision included a renovation of the first biological safety level 3 animal lab in Kenya at the Institute of Livestock Research (ILRI)as well as being the lead local consultant for the US embassy Nairobi. I am currently a director at Beglin woods Architects Ltd and heading Beglin woods Project Management Ltd. I continue to demonstrate a keen eye for detail, passion for use of new and innovative materials and flexibility, whether in design or project management, ensuring that my clients get to their goals effectively, efficiently and within the set budget without compromising the aesthetics or sustainability of the project. My passion has landed her projects with the Liverpool school of tropical medicine in Blantyre Malawi and The Cavendish University in Zambia.More...
