Since graduating from the Film, Sound & Video program at Ngee Ann Polytechnic in 2004, Lawrence Ong has built a dynamic career as a director and producer, working across commercial, branded, and narrative content. His portfolio includes collaborations with leading advertising agencies such as Dentsu, DDB, BBDO, and SPARK44, where he has led projects for a diverse range of corporate and government clients.
Beyond the commercial sphere, Lawrence is deeply passionate about storytelling through short films. His directorial voice is marked by emotional nuance and visual restraint. In 2011, his short film The Invisible Monster won Best Direction and Best Sound at the 48-Hour Film Festival. In 2018, he wrote, directed, and shot Mess Tin—a poignant exploration of identity and memory—which received a Special Mention at the Asia South East Short Film Festival.
