• John Camper is a seasoned entrepreneur and business manager, currently serving as the Owner and Manager of Virginia Atlantic Companies. With a proven business development and management track record, John has effectively founded companies with good competitive positioning while producing long-term results. His strategic leadership, combined with his innate ability to identify and seize business opportunities, has contributed significantly to the growth and success of various businesses. Manufacturing was the foundation of his career, and John set up a company that produces circular knit upholstery fabrics for OEM automotive seating assembly. While supplying tier seating producers such as Lear and Magna, the company assisted in the design and development of the new seating fabric technology along-side Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors along with transplants Nissan, Toyota, and VW. John transitioned to the commercial real estate business in 2003 to ultimately acquire a well-positioned, historic hotel in Downtown Richmond, Virginia. Following the purchase of the Hotel John Marshall, John immediately embarked on the redevelopment of the property into 248 luxury apartments. Following a $73MM renovation of the property, John focused on management of adjacent properties and their ultimate redevelopment, leveraging his automotive assembly background and the emerging technology of light gauge steel structural systems. John has focused on his management consulting business since 2015 and continues to pursue other strategic opportunities. John graduated from Duke University.
