# Professional Experience Summary
My healthcare career began as a registered nurse in a Level 3 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where I developed expertise in caring for critically ill newborns and supporting families during challenging times. This foundation in high-acuity pediatric care provided me with strong clinical skills and experience managing complex medical conditions in vulnerable populations.
I advanced my career by becoming a pediatric nurse practitioner, joining a private practice where I expanded my scope of practice to include comprehensive pediatric care. During this role, I demonstrated leadership and innovation by initiating a lactation support program, addressing a critical need for breastfeeding guidance and support for new mothers and families.
Building on my pediatric expertise, I transitioned into specialized areas of pediatric medicine, working in both pediatric Physiatry and developmental pediatrics departments. In these subspecialty roles, I have focused on children with developmental disabilities, rehabilitation needs, and complex developmental concerns, providing specialized care that requires both clinical expertise and a deep understanding of pediatric development.
Throughout my career progression from bedside nursing to advanced practice roles, I have consistently demonstrated a commitment to pediatric healthcare, family-centered care, and program development, while continually expanding my expertise in increasingly specialized areas of pediatric medicine.More...
