Nothing brings me more joy as a leader than engaging people and empowering them to grow in skill and confidence. I truly believe in the power of people!
Aside from developing people, I derive the most satisfaction from strategic planning. Nurturing the growth of individuals while strategically planning for long-term success within the organization are my passion.
After 3 years with the New York State Senate’s Office and 2 years in education, building community partnerships, I transitioned to City Harvest. There, I spent more than a decade guiding the organization through major growth phases, organizational change, technological innovations, and a global pandemic.
Today, as Executive Director with WhyHunger I’m driving the organization to reconnect with its original mission, amplifying our brand through strategic media exposure, and discovering new ways to increase funding.
Whether leading organizations through difficult change, fostering growth, or inspiring others, I love what I do.
Some of the things I’m most proud of:
▪ Led development and integration of award winning “Plentiful” app, leading to a multi-million-
dollar divestment.
▪ Led emergency relief efforts delivering funding and relief after Hurricane Sandy and the COVID-
19 pandemic.
▪ Doubled funding from corporate partnerships and increased individual donor contributions by
50%.
▪ Successful track record of building employee morale, engagement, and retention ensuring
proper capacity and structure.More...
