Ms. Mindy Rose is currently a teacher at University View Academy. She has started two DECA chapters, took over a 1-year chapter and currently mentoring a new chapter. From the beginning of her DECA career, Ms. Rose saw the possibilities for not only her chapter but also the state association. Her students have attended multiple conferences (ELS, PowerTrip, CDC ,and ICDC) at which she strives to find more ways to get members involved. Ms. Rose volunteers where needed with the chartered association to show leadership. When she volunteers, she takes over the responsibility and goes with it as she is very self-motivated. Ms. Rose leads by example and makes sure her students are watching. She has had a student-run for state office and obtain that officer position. Many of Ms. Rose’s former DECA members have moved on to become entrepreneurs, CPAs, and even educators.
