I have been a professor at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Brasilia (UnB) since October 1984. As a scholar, my areas of interest include Artificial Intelligence (AI), probabilistic reasoning, data and text mining, and knowledge representation. I have been member of several program committees of conferences both in Brazil and overseas. My research articles appeared in several journals and conference proceedings. I lead the development of several software projects, including UnBBayes, a framework for probabilistic reasoning used by researchers worldwide.
