I am an early career researcher specialising in maternity care, focused on advancing childbirth education through theory-informed, practice-relevant research. My work applies a novel systems-based perspective to understand how interactions between women, birth partners, and healthcare providers shape the use of evidence-based strategies during labour and birth. By integrating psychological and relational theory with clinical research, I aim to address evidence-practice gaps.
I have a strong and growing research track record, including publications in high-impact journals and contributions to multidisciplinary projects such as an NHMRC-funded trial. My research is oriented towards real-world impact, informing clinical guidelines, enhancing antenatal education, and strengthening workforce capability, while keeping women’s experiences central.
