I wear a lot of hats! No, that's not just to cover my retreating hairline! My most common role is creative director / brand strategist. I've gotten quite a few POS campaigns, product launches and product packaging launches/refreshes over the finish line. I'm happy to manage and I'm also ready to jump in when a proverbial ditch needs digging. Coming from a print and 3D rendering production-heavy background, the focus is always on GTD. Over my career, I've had the great fortune of working alongside some of the industry's giants such as Darrell Hayden, Jerry Simon, Bob Duncan, Parker Channon, Serena Chao, Gail Taras and Eric Spillman. This background has really helped me create success for my clients and teams. Some examples: I worked with the founders of the popular organic foods company TruRoots to name the brand, create its identity and brand architecture and create and roll out all of its product families, packaging and marketing communications. I helped launch a successful medtech company in Europe in less than three months. A brand you will soon see, Inked Organics, got a little boost from one of my strategic workshops. These are some recent examples. My mission is to leverage my abilities to help the greater team succeed. Period. Approach: I always start from 40,000 feet and work back down to the ground level where the action is. Doing this often solves myriad present and future problems and makes the roll-out items effective from a branding standpoint. It also gives me a penchant for sensing and correcting problems before they happen. Context is everything. I've been told by clients and employers that they thought they were hiring a creative 'ideas' guy and ended up with a long-term creative partner – plus several great ideas a day.
