Professional Experience Summary
After graduating from university of Tokyo I began my career as a consultant at an urban planning consulting firm, where I worked for two years. During my student years, I had the opportunity to participate in a hotel rebranding project as an intern, which sparked a strong interest in hotel development and led me to transition into the hospitality and commercial development sector.
I joined a company where I was part of the Business Development Department, primarily responsible for branding initiatives, as well as the planning and development of architectural and operational strategies for hotels and other commercial facilities. My role also included overseeing project management for construction projects. Throughout these projects, I collaborated closely with a diverse range of artists and designers, playing a key role in establishing and enhancing brand identity. Many of the facilities I worked on received media coverage in lifestyle, architectural design, travel, and art publications, contributing significantly to customer engagement during the early stages of business operations.
Later, I joined a startup founded by a former colleague, where I continued to lead hotel and commercial facility development projects. The smaller scale of the company allowed me to broaden my responsibilities, including operational management for in-house properties, which enabled me to integrate operational insights into the development process. I also handled a wide range of consulting projects for external clients. Notably, I managed complex tasks for international restaurant brands entering the Japanese market, such as coordinating with overseas headquarters and adapting architectural requirements to local infrastructure and building regulations.
