I am a Scottish visual creative based between NYC, Charleston, SC & the Highlands of Scotland, UK with over 15 years experience in a number of design areas, but focusing mostly in Creative
Direction, Brand Dev, Print & Digital Publishing (marketing & advertising), & Illustration.
Recent clients include Nock Tequila & Mezcal, Den Of Thieves Whiskey, Rey Lo Se Tequila, Stereogram Recordings, BBC NI, Pier A Harbor House (NYC), The Rookery (NYC), Prohibition (Charleston).
I received my degree from the Glasgow School of Art, and following a protracted spell in the music industry built my own design studio in the UK around 2005. I have lived & worked in the US for over 13 years.
I continue to enjoy making my own music & remixing other people’s. I am a sucker for
great design (and a horrendous critic of lazy & poor work!), and can’t help but keep an interested eye on design developments throughout the world we live in.
In addition to my main skillset, I have some
experience in motion design (particularly motion graphics/title design, Davinci, After Effects, Motion), responsive web design/dev (html5, css3, some javascript, conditional logic, Webflow, a little Wordpress), 3d Product design/animation (Blender, Cinema 4D, Substance), and add to my
‘visual inspiration’ scrapbook whenever I see something interesting/unique, which is invaluable in keeping a designer’s eye keen.
