As a Social Entrepreneur, Gail founded and leads The Wot-if? Trust which has operated in Diepsloot for the past 11 years. The organisation provides spaces, computers, connectivity, shared resources, support and development programmes for small townships businesses, the youth, early childhood development centers and the greater community.
Fondly known as Sister G in the Diepsloot community, she is totally committed to social upliftment and the development and advancement of Women and the Youth. Her focus is always on areas where there is a chance to steer young people towards opportunities which she currently sees in the Digital/ICT and Green Sectors.
Sister G is passionate about programmes that teach young people from underprivileged backgrounds about overcoming challenges and being catalysts for change in their communities. She works energetically and passionately in her quest to help in some small way to ensure a thriving planet for the next generation and the upliftment of people in poor communities to dream about a viable future.
For 10 years Gail was a shareholder in and the CEO of a Training, Project Management and Outsourcing Company called Outlearning. Prior to that she ran her own consultancy, The Training Focus where for close to nine years she consulted to organisations on training effectiveness and the improvement of performance in the workplace.
She believes in a strategic focus to the development of people and during her career has managed various large scale training and development projects. Her customers have included companies like M-Net, Multichoice, T-Systems, Rennies Travel, The Compass Group and Mercedes Benz, amongst others.
The early years of her career were spent in the Travel Industry, including a few years with South African Airways. She was also responsible for the setup and management of a Travel industry specific Training Academy for Rennies Travel.
