My specialties include project management, writing, quickly learning new skills, problem-solving, seeing the big picture, having the ability to wear many different hats, empathizing with the end-user experience, and mixing technical knowledge with creative abilities. Every project and job is a new adventure. I see myself as an adventurer. I have a zest for living and a love of traveling and seeing new things. I also adore meeting new people. Almost everyone I meet becomes a friend, even if it is just for a brief moment in time. I want to know everything about everything. I’m naturally curious, and I feel like knowing all the details helps me work and live with a big-picture perspective. I find that after years of experience, one of my greatest assets is being able to see the big picture and use my people skills and excellent ability to communicate to find real problems and the best solutions. I grew up on a farm. A pig farm to be exact. I learned to work hard and how to do all the work, because we did it as a family, as a team. Growing up this way gave me a great foundational work ethic, and it taught me so many things about the world around me. But it wasn’t enough world for me, so I ventured out to see more. My fondest adventure was moving to the Netherlands. We lived there for two years, and it was the most amazing experience. I (almost) learned another language, I figured out how to commute to work (and everywhere) on a bike, and I embraced the Dutch work-life balance. This experience stretched my creative boundaries and expanded my worldview exponentially. With all this travel and adventure, it caused me to have various jobs in various locations. This has given me a wide range of experience and knowledge. After returning from Europe, I decided I wanted to finish my Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Professional Studies.
