I'm Shivani Desai - an actor, model, and voiceover artist based in London. My career journey has been anything but conventional, and I’ve had the privilege of exploring many professional paths along the way. From career coaching and events to writing, education, social media, marketing, and entertainment – I’ve dipped my toes in a variety of disciplines, all of which have helped shape who I am as an artist and a professional.
After having ran my own career coaching business that specialised in helping small market actors navigate the challenges of building a fulfilling career in the arts, I have recently transitioned to a full-time career in acting. Helping my clients become business-savvy and branch out internationally was an incredibly rewarding experience, one that allowed me to connect with talented individuals and build lifelong relationships - but in 2024, I decided it was time for me to do the same for myself.
I believe that every professional experience, regardless of how random it looks on my CV, has led me to this point, and I bring an unmatched, well-rounded perspective to my work because of it. Whether it’s stepping into a character on stage or lending my voice to a project, I approach every role with the same passion, commitment, and curiosity that has fuelled my entire career.
Additionally, I am a fervent advocate for diversity and representation in entertainment. My commitment to fostering inclusive environments where fellow actors feel seen underscores my belief that collective success, rather than individual success, is paramount in the entertainment industry. My fluency in English, Hindi, Spanish, and Gujarati, allows me to further embody a culturally diverse perspective and an openness to people from all walks of life. In an industry that is a work-in-progress when it comes to representation, I believe that finding beauty and humour in everything we do is key to sustaining belief in our efforts.
