A recent coworker of mine nicknamed me “Jodi Barbie,” because of the myriad roles I have mastered and skills I have built.
With both an MFA IN creative writing, and professional training in the culinary arts, I combined those skills to chart a unique and fulfilling career.
While working as a certified PMP in IT for over 10 years, I also was a regular contributor to the Christian Science Monitor and launched my own online bakery, eventually leaving Project Management to open a brick and mortar.
I then brought my talents for cooking and writing to America’s Test Kitchen, eventually being offered a position with their affiliate Holland America Cruise Lines where I performed multiple live cooking shows daily, demonstrating ATK knowledge through scripts that I edited and compiled to showcase my own voice.
I am a confident performer and used my skills to become a very successful tour guide delivering exceptional tours using scripts that I created to offer the right balance of history with entertainment.
Suffice it to say I have a wide variety of skills and knowledge that would be an asset to those looking for a dynamic individual who is adaptable, driven and creative.More...
