Dr. Atira Charles is the CEO of The Charles Consulting Group, a boutique consulting firm specializing in workplace culture and organizational wellness. She began her academic journey with a presidential scholarship to Florida A&M University, where she earned both her B.S. in Finance and her Master of Business Administration. Dr. Charles then pursued her Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior and Management at Arizona State University, launching her career in academia.
She has served as a professor at both Florida State University and Florida A&M University, bringing her expertise in leadership, management, and organizational effectiveness to the classroom. After years as an educator and consultant, she joined the Executive Leadership Team at Moët Hennessy , where she helped shape key initiatives to enhance workplace culture. In July 2021, Dr. Charles returned to her consulting practice, working with organizations to drive transformative change and foster innovation in today’s dynamic work environment.
Her research and thought leadership focus on how individuals and organizations can improve performance, motivation, and workplace engagement through self-awareness, emotional management, and well-being. Dr. Charles has published extensively in academic journals and media outlets, presented internationally, and worked with municipalities and global Fortune 500 companies. She created The Mask Project, an initiative exploring authenticity and personal identity in professional settings.
Dr. Charles is also the author of the audiobook The Art of Unmasking: Peeling Back the Layers to Maximize Personal and Professional Success.
