When I started my first job at Bonanza Restaurant as a bus boy, I was alway very curious about the owners, what they did and how they got there. When I would walk by their dinner table as I made my way to clean one, I would stop and ask a million questions and ponder how I could get there. How could I own my own business? I delivered papers, cut lawn and had many odd jobs but my most profitable endeavour was collecting golf balls in the evening from the golf course we lived on. I would return back to the course and setup shop on the third hole and sell golf balls that cost me nothing and sell lemonade that I tricked my mom into buying for me. Soon I was making more money working my own hours collecting and selling golf balls then the grind at Bonanza or anyone else. Since then I was hooked and became a serial entrepreneur. Whether it is welding alloys, advertising, sponsorship, marketing or building a hockey team, it is all about relationships and trust. I am accessible and my pipeline is always full of prospects and customers who trust me and most importantly see value in conducting commerce together. I realized very early in my working life that there are two options:
