Throughout my career, I have enjoyed expanding my education beyond my English and Education degrees, embracing every opportunity to learn and research and read. I've used my skills and experience writing to work on curriculum development, corporate training, marketing and public relations. I enjoy teaching all ages, but have dedicated the past 20 years to focusing on how adults learn, obtaining my Master's in Education and focusing on how to help make learning memorable and meaningful. I've taken that knowledge and applied it to special education. With family on the spectrum, and experience teaching in both inclusive and pull-out classrooms, I found that helping young adults transition into their own independent lives was the mission I needed to embrace. I founded StarThrower Group in 2018 to help my students, but in turn I have also found families and businesses need support to better work with neurodivergence and be supportive.
