Lea (she/her) is a French-Brazilian filmmaker, producer and creative director. Her work tackles mental health and gender violence. She has produced and directed films in Brazil, Turkey, Scandinavia, Europe and Korea.
In 2019, she released her BBC documentary, "Spit It Out". Following the success of the film, she co-founded a community organisation of the same name dedicated to opening conversations around consent and mental health. This experience led her to co-create on a community programme of more than 250 events, launch an art festival, a magazine, a podcast and to commission exhibitions from emerging marginalised artists.
In 2022, she became part of the EVOC bursary for young-CEOs and appeared on YWS "30 women before 30"; she also released her award winning documentaries "What it means to be" and "A la Folie" as part of "Unlabelled Films". The same year, she also produced BAFTA nominated "Friends on the Outside" by director Annabel Moodie.
She is currently part of the 2024 "Creativity Pioneers Fund Leadership Forum" by the BIC Corporate Foundation and Moleskine Foundation.More...
