Zander Van Der Walt is the Head of Renewables at Hive Hydrogen South Africa, where he leads the development of a 3.3GW renewable energy portfolio. This portfolio is integral for the +1Mt/a green ammonia production plant in Coega, South Africa - a global leader in the quest for green ammonia. He is responsible for innovative interventions and strategy to advance sustainable energy-based industrial solutions. With over a decade of experience in the renewable energy sector, Zander has a proven track record of developing large-scale hydrogen and renewable energy initiatives. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and has just completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Development Finance from the University of Stellenbosch.
