Carlos Scupê, born in 1992, began his journey in skateboarding, where he was deeply influenced by the world of audiovisual production. With his first camera in hand, he started capturing numerous tricks and experiences on the streets. This passion led to the creation of the skate video part "Ad Astra Per Áspera" by Akira Utida, released in 2013 through Tribo Skate magazine, which featured footage from Brazil, Spain, and Germany. In 2015, Carlos decided to pursue a professional career in film, enrolling in the Cinema program at CAV, where he honed his skills and eventually worked as a Logger and 1st and 2nd Assistant Camera.
Over the years, Carlos has contributed to various projects for prominent brands such as Canon, Red Bull, LG, Heineken, Nestlé, and Puma, alongside major Brazilian production companies. In 2019, he created and produced the web series "Envision" for Sat, with two episodes being selected for the Mimpi Festival. His most recent work as a focus puller was on the feature film 13 Sentimentos (2024), directed by Daniel Ribeiro.
Today, Carlos continues to expand his career as a Director of Photography, blending his skateboarding lifestyle and street experiences into cinematic storytelling, while exploring documentary, advertising, and artistic narratives in his work.More...
